1. About Us

Dwyers General Store Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates an online store and physical location offering African, Caribbean and Canadian groceries, liquor, tobacco, and related products, together with delivery and pickup services in Northern Manitoba. By accessing or using our website and/or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Eligibility & Jurisdiction

  • Our primary business location is in Wabowden, Manitoba, Canada.

  • By using our website, you confirm that you are legally permitted to enter into binding contracts under the laws of Manitoba and Canada.

  • Orders shipped outside our stated service area may be cancelled.

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

3. Age-Restricted Products (Tobacco & Other Regulated Goods)

Because our product range includes tobacco, tobacco-related products, liquor and other age-restricted items, the following apply:

  • You must be at least 19 years of age (or the legal age in your province/territory) to purchase tobacco or liquor products from us.

  • You may be required to present government-issued photo ID upon pickup or delivery before these products are released.

  • It is prohibited to order these items on behalf of minors or to provide them to persons under the legal age.

  • We reserve the right to cancel any order if we suspect the buyer is underage or if valid ID is not provided at delivery or pickup.

  • In compliance with the Tobacco and Vaping Products Act (Canada), packages must display required health warnings and must not be sold in violation of advertising or promotion provisions.

  • Online sale and delivery of tobacco is subject to federal and provincial regulation; you acknowledge that you are purchasing from within Manitoba and the order is for delivery to the service area.

4. Product Information, Affiliate Goods & Availability

  • We provide African, Caribbean and Canadian grocery goods, liquor, tobacco, affiliate-products and other merchandise.

  • Affiliate products sold via our site may involve third-party suppliers; you acknowledge that affiliate links or third-party fulfilment may apply.

  • We endeavour to keep stock information up to date but cannot guarantee availability, and we reserve the right to cancel or adjust orders if stock is unavailable or pricing is incorrect.

  • All product prices, descriptions and availability are subject to change without notice.

5. Orders, Payment & Delivery

Orders: By placing an order you offer to purchase the goods subject to these Terms. We will confirm by email once the order is accepted.
Payment: Payment methods accepted include credit/debit cards, Interac e-Transfer, cash on delivery (where applicable), and other methods as displayed at checkout.
Delivery & Pickup:

  • Delivery zones and rates apply as per the delivery policy (Wabowden, Thompson area, Northern Manitoba Remote).

  • Age-restricted goods will only be delivered if an adult signs for them and valid ID is produced.

  • We do not leave age- or signature-required items unattended or at the door without verification.
    Cancellation & Refunds:

  • You may cancel an order prior to dispatch; once dispatched, returns or refunds depend on the product category (no returns on opened tobacco or liquor products).

  • We follow applicable consumer protection laws in Manitoba.

6. Use of the Website & Affiliate Links

  • Our website may include affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you purchase from links provided. We endeavour to disclose affiliate relationships in accordance with relevant guidelines.

  • We endeavour to ensure accuracy of prices, descriptions and shipping info, but we cannot guarantee error-free content.

  • We exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law any liability for indirect, incidental or consequential losses.

  • Our maximum liability for direct losses will be no more than the value of the goods purchased.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or any other liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.
